Do you want to watch the 2009 Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia on April 6- 12? Are you excited to see your favorite golfers and former Masters champions in this very competitive and exciting golf tournament in golf history? Do you want to see the world famous Augusta National and marvel in its natural beauty? Well, whether you have tickets or not to The Masters, you can!

The Masters Golf Tournament is considered as the premier golf tournament in the United States. It started in 1934 through the efforts of Robert Tyre “Bobby” Jones, Clifford Roberts, and Alister MacKenzie who was the golf course architect of Augusta National. The Masters has been going on for more than six decades now and had already produced several champions in the field of golf like Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, Ben Hogan, Phil Mickelson, Byron Nelson, Horton Smith and last year’s champion, Zach Johnson.

Since this is such an exclusive and highly anticipated tournament played in one of the world’s most challenging golf courses, it is no wonder that tickets are very difficult to get. Those who are avid fans of golf already bought tickets or badges months before the competition. Oftentimes, acquiring tickets take a lot of luck and money. Meanwhile, those who can afford to pay for Masters packages which already include tickets and accommodations may ask for reservations ahead of time.

However, what about those who can’t afford to buy tickets or badges? Or those living outside the United States? Well, The Masters Committee has an answer to these questions.

According to Billy Payne, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, they came up with an excellent alternative in promoting golf especially to those who want to watch it in the comfort of their own homes. One of these options is watching the live telecast of ESPN on television.

ESPN can be viewed by 194 countries including Latin America, Canada, and even some parts of Asia, the Middle East and Africa. In addition, there will also be a Spanish-language telecast of the final rounds of the tournament to be presented in the United States on ESPN Deportes.

Payne added that with the ESPN’s global reach and demonstrated leadership in new media, they believe that ESPN can truly showcase The Masters and golf to new audiences around the world.

Meanwhile, ESPN President George Bodenheimer, they are deeply honored for the opportunity to work with The Masters Tournament Committee in achieving their goal of growing the game of golf around the world.

With the partnership between ESPN and The Masters Tournament, people everywhere will be given the chance to witness the 2009 Masters Golf Tournament as it unfolds.
