Lots of preparations were made prior to the conduct of this activity and it is no longer a surprise that tickets to this prestigious tournament are very expensive and difficult to purchase. Nonetheless, all the efforts and money will be worth it once you are there watching your favorite golfers compete against each other for the championship. However, you must also arm your self with the necessary information regarding the Masters like the schedules and of course, the proper conduct one must comply with during the tournament. The first one needs to remember is that The Masters Golf Tournament is an international competition whose contestants are actually invited guests. Everyone should be treated with courtesy and respect so everybody can enjoy being a part of this exclusive golf tournament. Meanwhile, everyone is also expected to obey all the Tournament policies especially the policies, signs, and verbal instructions of Tournament officials. Protests of any kind are not allowed. 2009 Masters Golf Tournament is April 6th-12th. In order to guarantee the safety of everybody, running is considered as an unacceptable behavior in the conduct of the Masters. This is also the same with regard to keeping with the policies established at other major sporting events. On the other hand, only one stool or seat will be provided for each person entering the grounds. Meanwhile, seats in observation stands are not to be reserved or be left unattended for any inordinate period of time. For security reasons, all ticket purchasers and holders must submit themselves and their things for inspection before entering the grounds or even during the Tournament. If one refuses to submit himself or herself including his or her possessions for inspection will be excluded or removed. The Practice Round will start Monday, April 6 to Tuesday, April 7. Gates open at 8 a.m. and will close at around 6:30 pm. Wednesday, April 8 is Practice Round Par 3 contest. Gates will also open at 8 a.m. and close approximately at 6:30 p.m. while Par 3 course is at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9 is the start of the Competitive Round which will last until April12, Sunday. During these days, gates will be opened at 8 a.m. and closed 30 minutes after play. The Presentation Ceremony will take place on Sunday, April 13.
